Short head over a crystal clear pale gold brew. Some early lace, head settles to a ring. Not much of a nose a wee bit of spicy grassy hops. Gently grassy hops to taste. Thin- bodied with a properly bitter finish. Clean on the palate, no off notes. A suitably clean and simple salute.

473 mL can from the LCBO; no canning date and served slightly chilled.
Pours a pale golden-yellow colour with crystal clarity and effervescence, kicking up a finger of lumpy, foamy white head that dissipates within five minutes or so. A generous collar of soapy suds is left in its wake, with lots of messy lacing flung about as well - a good lookin' pale lager, for sure. It smells of grain husks and cereal sweetness, with a touch of straw.
The flavours are similar to the nose - grainy pale malts, wheat husks, cereal sweetness, and not much else through to the finish, which adds a faint wisp of grassy hops. Grainy-sweet aftertaste the fades after a moment or two. Light in body, with pointed carbonation that scrubs the palate with each sip. This is not an interesting beer, but it's also totally unobjectionable, so pretty much any beer drinker should be able to toss it back without a fuss.
Final Grade: 3.48, a B-. The charity being supported has changed, but as far as I can tell, At the Ready is basically the same recipe as their last Brew Aid (which itself was based on Light'er Up). That's all just backstory - it's actually fine and dandy with me, because Tomorrow's light lager has always been an above average one - and besides, in this situation, they're best served using a brew that any macro lager-swilling fellow could enjoy. It might not have a whole lot to offer to craft beer dorks, but consider it a tick for a good cause.

Pours a beautiful clear gold colour, with a thick head and rising bubbles. In my opinion, damn close to perfect. The smell is plain and grainy. The taste is quite nice, hoppy, corny, biscuity in all the right places. I was impressed with this beer, and a lager doesn’t usually do that to me. Mouthfeel is dry and crisp
