473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Mar 1 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours pale yellow and crystal clear, topped with two fingers of rocky, foamy white head that slowly seeps away over the course of five-plus minutes. It leaves behind a wide collar and patchy cap, with gobs of lovely lace spattered about as well - looks great to me. Grainy on the nose, with hints of doughy sweetness.
The flavour profile is similar, offering up doughy pale malts, graininess and a hint of honeyed sweetness from start to finish; I may be imagining a hint of grassy hops near the end. The aftertaste is mildly sweet and malty, persisting on the taste buds after each sip. Light in body, and well-carbonated, with a brisk, prickly mouthfeel that suits this sort of lager quite well. Very drinkable, very plain, but any macro lager fan should be able to enjoy this.
Final Grade: 3.49, a B-. Make Peace Not War makes for a better slogan than beer - Tomorrow Brew's lager is nothing special, but I don't mind buying a few of these in lieu of my usual German/Czech/Polish favourites, as it's a practically effortless way to contribute to a very worthy cause - I mean, I'd be drinking a beer either way, right? Might as well chip in, even if it's just a quarter.
