Deep yellow/ light carmely color, mostly white head leaving nice lacing.

Picking up earthy, dank maybe musty aromas.

Getting similar tastes with some tropical notes. Sweetness does come in upfront and a bit of the alcohol warmth on the back end.

Very flavorful and a bit darker than a lot of the bright citrusy varieties.

16.9 oz bottle received from a great friend, could not find a brewed on or best by date. Lovely pour into a nonic pint. Color is a darker gold, white head clings to the glass and leaves behind some lacing.

There's a lot going on with the nose, so much so that it's difficult to pick apart the different scents. The strongest scent seems to be a tropical-dank, maybe like a papaya that's been left out on the counter for a day. Not a particularly good scent, but strong.

Like the scent, a lot is going on with the flavor. More enjoyable than the scent though, there is a powerful IPA tropical sweetness that instantly hits the tongue and is perfectly carried over the palette for a time as it transitions to a pleasant bitterness. The potency of the flavor is spot on, with a lot going on behind the tropical front. The medium-heavy mouthfeel nails the bitterness to the tongue for a LONG time after sipping. There is some booziness and heat to it, but it feels like it belongs. This one is not for the faint hearted :)
The carbonation was light but ever-present which was perfect to carry the sweetness over the palette.

I was surprised by this one, but it is a damn good IPA. Very well balanced as I taste it. I hope it is the beginning of an offering that can be found occasionally. This one will bring me to the brewery if I should find myself in the next county. Cheers to my friend Fish for the gift, it was greatly enjoyed.
