Crowler from Damon aka SourNomad. Filled on 7/27.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a golden yellow color with a small cap of a little white foamy head. Quickly dissolved to barely any lace.
The aroma had a very nice blend of sweet red delicious apples, hay/grassy funk, clean earthiness, white grapes and some lemon sweetness on the back end.
The flavor yields to a mellow mix of the prior mentioned aromas to delve into a light funky hoppy behavior to soften the mood of the aftertaste. The aftertaste did seem to have those apples play with a rustic hay/grassiness along with those white grapes. It's oddly smooth.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation and ABV seemed to go fine. It did get a little bit sticky but not cloying. Very smooth finish with the white grapes and red delicious apples.
Overall, a very nice saison well worthy of coming back to.
