Recently went to Coin Haus to knock out my $25 Group On. Started with this one, which I didn’t know much about going in. Was going to be a quick review. Online description read, “Brut IPA - Refreshing and light IPA due to high carbonation. Dank on the nose with piney resinous taste.” Thanks for nothing.
Was a gusher out of the tap and paid some without getting it. Poured a gold clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of rocky white head. Some bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent thick, foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Mosaic, pineapple, orange blossom, floral, orange rind, Nelson, peach, apricot and stone fruit. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted not quite as good as the nose. Got mango, guava, peach, Mosaic, rose blossom, orange rind, floral, red apple and stone fruit. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 3.75)
A very solid Brut IPA. Probably underrated it a tad. (Overall - 3.75)
