Fizzy feel which I'm not crazy about, but it has a pleasant grapefruit-like flavor.
Thick amber colour is ugly, cannot see through.
Pinkish foamy head.
Overall I might drink it on a hot summer day.

Mill Street Cassis from Toronto Ontario,
Look: Beautiful looking beer, Pink with 1 finger of pink head. Looks like a smoothie.
Smell: Sweet wheat. A bit disappointed compare to the look.
Taste: Tiny touch of orange peel, black berry, medium body. Goes down really smooth, The finish is somewhat dry. The carbonation really hits your tongue. Expected more.
Feel: The feel on this beer is amazing. After a minute the raspberry comes back on your tongue without being to powerful.
So overall would I recomend it ? Absolutly. For a fruity beer, this is a well made beer. Not amazing that will blown your mind away, but a nice drinking beer.

Pink-ish, turbid colour, with a finger of fairly persistent off-white head. Smell is mostly wheat, cracker, with a sweet berry character underlying. That continues through into the taste, where any Belgian character is largely elided--perhaps a bit of pepper, a bit of yeastiness.
It's competent, but unremarkable.

355 mL bottle from their summer 2016 sampler pack, served well-chilled. Dated Apr 21 2016.
Pours a turbid pinkish-purple colour, generating one finger of loose, soapy, pink-tinged froth that fades off continuously over the next couple of minutes. A lovely curtain of lace rings the glass, with a bubbly, foamy collar just beneath. Grainy, bready wheat malts on the nose along with plenty of berry fruitiness - shades of blueberry, raspberry and of course the titular blackcurrant. Nice, pleasantly tart feel to the aroma; quite inviting on a warm pre-summer's afternoon.
More bready, doughy pale malt sweetness comes through initially, serving as a steady backbone behind the focal currant/berry flavours that quickly overtake them. It includes a mix of tart currant, blueberry and cherry flavours; perhaps a hint of raspberry too, but the profile also has a jammy, confiture-like sweetness to it. It all ends abruptly in time for the finish - with a flash of grassy hops, weakly spicy yeast and some tart berry flavour that bleeds off the palate, clearing the way for a mostly-dry aftertaste. Light-bodied, with crisp carbonation that is starting to approach "soft drink" levels. Very refreshing; the Belgian influences are minimal, this is more of a straight-up summer patio gulper.
Final Grade: 3.75, a respectable B+. Mill Street's Cassis is better than their old Blueberry Wheat recipe for sure, and an ideal inclusion in this summer mixed pack. The currant flavour is right in that sweet spot for me - not too overbearing or cloying, but also not so diluted as to come off dull and bland. That being said, if fruit beers don't normally interest you, there's no reason to believe that this one specifically will offer a better experience for you. It's well-made, but that's probably not enough to interest everyone.

355ml bottle, part of the 2016 Summer Sampler, which arrives a bit early, but given the weather around here lately, I don't see anyone complaining!
This beer pours a murky, dark salmon amber colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, rocky, and fizzy pale pink head, which leaves some stellar dissipating cloud cover lace around the glass as it slowly sinks away.
It smells of gritty wheat malt, a further crackery graininess, some muddled dark berry fruit (kind of like ripe cherries mixed with black currants), estery Belgian yeast, and very wan earthy, herbal, and leafy hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy pale and wheat malt, a somewhat sugary black fruitiness (again, sort of mixed, with some bloated raisins getting into bed with the currants), a more laid-back yeastiness than in the nose, some weak licorice/vanilla earthiness, and a still hard to really even notice leafy, weedy, and floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is obviously quite active in its clear and present frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and mostly smooth, perhaps a touch of that sneaky yeast raining on the potential parade route here. It finishes off-dry, the fruitiness starting to catch a groove, and a very mild tartness coming on-line.
Overall, Cassis is a fairly pleasant and easy to drink fruit beer, the guest berries not overwhelming the base Belgian-tinted wheat ale, I'm guessing. An offering for when you don't want tart, and you don't want sweet, but something more or less in-between.
