It’s not just a beer, it’s a RALLY CRY IN A CAN!
Blue Wave is a hybrid between a traditional light lager and a juicy IPA. This unfiltered lager is aromatic, flavourful and crisp with a gentle haze and notes of melon, lemon and lime. Brewed with Blue Jays fans in mind as the perfect pairing for game day; it pairs best with a ballpark hot dog or pretzel.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite but now closed The Beer Store on Goyeau St. in nearby downtown Windsor. Lot number F05T42. My sixth beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and third for 2025. With Sundae the cat...

Kind of a lacklustre effort from Mill St. who have a bunch of other more interesting offerings. Very basic across the board. Clear gold under a shortlived soap bubble head. A little citrus a little grass, but nothing really distinguishing. Just one of those marketing department project sort of beers and not my demographic. Meh.

But hey, Go Blue Jays!

I bought 2 cans at the LCBO for $3.15 a can .
Poured into glass with a 1 to 2 finger head clear good carbonation
A hint of citrus flavors and a low bitterness level at 4.8% it refreshing and easy to drink.
There is a Blue Jays logo on the can .
I guess Rodgers center will start selling this beer for $12.50 a can
Lol
Cheers

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded Feb 24 2022 and served slightly chilled. Let's go Blue Jays.

Pours a foggy pale blonde colour, capped with one inch of soapy, rocky white head that falls off within a couple of minutes or so. It leaves behind plenty of messy, sticky lace as it recedes, with a wide, sudsy collar lingering in place afterwards - it's a good-lookin' lager, I'll give it that. Not especially aromatic, offering up hints of wheaty grain, citrus peel and some sort of stone fruit.

A tasty American lager - the hops are understated, but do liven things up a little. Graininess and bready, wheaty malt sweetness are apparent at the forefront, along with a touch of stone fruit; these are followed by hints of lemon-lime and weakly grassy hops at the finish. The aftertaste is a little fruity, trending off-dry. Light in body, with middling carbonation levels that tickle the surface of the palate from start to finish; feels smooth and a little soft. Very crushable, and quite refreshing.

Final Grade: 3.76, a B+. Mill Street's Blue Wave is a thirst-quenching lager that I enjoyed considerably more than their Original Organic. That being said, the price point is somewhat prohibitive - and in all fairness, most Ontario craft lagers share this problem - because why would I pay almost $3.50 for this when there are multiple Euro lagers/pilseners selling for well under $3.00 (most of which are at least as good, if not better)? Even still, this is a quality unfiltered craft lager that would really hit the spot on a hot summer's afternoon at the ball game... and I'm sure the Rogers Centre will soon be more than happy to sell it to you, for a slight markup.
