473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for somewhere around $3.75 CDN. This is blueberry Pomegranate and Lime version.

Appearance - Dark pinkish-red in color and fairly cloudy. A fizzy finger and a half of pinkish white head is poured and fizzles away in a few minutes.

Smell - Not much from the nose. Faint grapey / red wine notes and some very light citrus (probably orange). Some floral aspect as well, but overall very subdued.

Taste - Some rather sweet blueberry and a little pomegranate with some cinnamon and clove perhaps. Kiss of lime at the end. Different flavors than a traditional sangria, but does execute those vibes reasonably well. Better tasting that I expected given the nose. Tastes like there are adjuncts in here.

Mouthfeel - Medium light bodied and not a lot of fizziness in the mouth, you do feel the gassy nature of the beer once down the throat. Finish is fruity if any anything.

Overall - Better than I expected and given the lack of a nose, the whole brew came together pretty nicely. Would love to see this somehow combine with grape more and give a truer sangria experience. With that said this is a nice little rendition in it's own right.

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded Mar 25 2022 and served slightly chilled.

Pours foggy and effervescent, its body golden apricot-coloured with a slight rose hue; gathered atop is two fingers of puffy, billowing white head that drops off slowly. Five minutes later, I'm left with a foamy collar and patchy cap, while the glass has been absolutely splattered with messy lace - looks gorgeous to me. The nose includes faint hints of pale wheat malt, mango and hibiscus; the grape and pineapple are even subtler.

It's alright - there are a few hints of grainy barley/wheat malt underneath, but they're largely set aside in favour of the fruit ingredients. That's not to say this is too sweet - it's actually got decent balance for a fruit beer IMO. White grape juice, with pineapple candy and mango followed by hints of floral hibiscus on the back end; not very wine-y, but I guess I do get a little bit of a grape skin tannin note in the aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation that lends some bite to this brew's smooth, satisfying mouthfeel. Drinkable and thirst-quenching.

Final Grade: 3.54, a passable B grade. Not nearly as sugary as expected - I know, I shouldn't judge a beer by its cover, but when you see "Mill Street Organic Sangria-Style" and pineapple slices on the label, assumptions are inevitable. My biggest complaint is that there's not much of a wine presence here - and don't get me wrong, I don't even like wine that much, but it's still an integral part of the sangria flavour profile. I could drink this again, and might even consider buying it once in a while, if the mood happens to strike.

Odd brittle looking pale peachy colour. Stubby, short-lived head to a ring. Suitably beery and fruity on both the nose and palate without being excessively sweet. Not a lot by way of the wine part of the sangria happening. Actually fairly refreshing.
