Bought two from Beer Drop. Blackberry Betty was good with soup and sandwich... but I think I'll save the second can for summer fare. All said and done, Blackberry Betty is a decent wit.
She (Betty) Looks lively enough; murky with yeast creating a nice foam and even a few protein swirls. Smells are very much blackberry and refreshingly so as this is a sweet berry (and is better to drink as it won't get stuck in your teeth like the fresh ones.) Traditional wit aromas also like coriander and orange. Tastes slip back a bit, but still pleasant (and will be good in the summer.) In the mouth, BB does what good wits do; cleanse the palate. Refreshing.
Since I was curious about Beer Drop's producers and since I just did the research, I note it in my micro-review of Locavore for perspective. There are some 350+ brewers in Colorado and some 150+ in the Denver metro (whose trade association calls it "the Napa Valley of craft beer". So Locavore, by analogy in that craft beer's premier "valley", has a reputation to uphold. And from what I'm seeing, Denvers crafters could. Betty probably is Locavore's #2 cash-cow wit. That's good enough for a 7 year old micro... even with tough competition in beer's "Valley."
4/13/21 I couldn't wait to taste/test Betty next to summer fare. But great after today's big ride. And I will keep count over at UnTappd. I hope to score more from Locavore. (Is that what they call iambic pentameter?)
