Pours a khaki two-finger head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving traces of lace. Deep brown almost black color, no highlights. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Smoky nose, flavor is tart cranberry and smokiness with a really dry finish. Higher ABV is hidden. $10.50 for a 22oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

Looks like another entry in The Manly Men Beer Club. The beer is named for a guy born on Mt Desert Island in the 1820s who grew up to harvest cranberries.
This cranberry beer is a dark reddish-brown color with a small tan head.
Aroma of cranberries, dark and sweet. A bit of caramel present also.
Cranberry flavor, pronounced. A nuance of caramel.
Assuming one likes cranberry beers, this one's for you. Alternatingly tart and sweet, this is a fairly good beer.
