Huge, impressive head. It recedes slowly in a rocky fashion leaving lots of large chunks of lace. One of the best I’ve seen. My 16 ounce can requires FOUR pours into a 24 ounce glass. The liquid is hazy. There’s a white hue to the light gold color.

Weedy hop smell with a weak pale malt background.

There’s a stronger pale malt base than I expected. The hop is also milder. Overall, it is well balanced with ample carbonation. The body is thinner than most pale ales. Overall, this is a very well-made and typical pale ale—true to style in most ways.

Canned on 10/4/18

Pours a slightly cloudy golden straw with a finger of pillowy white head; good retention and rows of soapy lacing cling to the glass long after the head recedes to a ring around the surface.

Aromas of earthy citrus, lemongrass, grapefruit zest, and straw; herbal/earthy notes dominate slightly over the citrus.

Tastes of grapefruit pith, tangerine, bright citrus notes, grass, and hints of straw/hay on the finish; citrus and earthy tones fall more in sync here.

Mouthfeel shows a fluffy medium body with a nicely restrained medium-high carbonation; bright, and the body move seamlessly across the palate, almost juicy; all of these elements are excellently in flux.

Very even-keeled APA that works with equal parts bright citrus and dank earth elements nicely; crisp and approachable, even with some flavorful excitement adding diversity to the palate.

16 oz can into IPA glass. Dated 9/21/18.
Excellent cloudy yellow look leads to nice tropical fruit nose leading with citrus. Taste follows nose and leads with tangerine and ends with little piney grapefruit. Feel is nice and light. Overall an excellent one hop (mosaic) APA . Tons of flavor and really easy drink. This is an excellent beer.

On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a fairly hazy orange color, with a small head and lots of lacing.

This smells like pineapple, grapefruit, piney hops, and candied lemon.

This is super solid. It’s crisp and super clean, with a nice fresh juiciness on the back end, with a hint of grassy and pine bitterness. There’s no malt here.

This is light, and super drinkable, with a typical level of carbonation.

I always forgot about how solid Common Roots is. This is a sturdy little pale ale.

One of the top 5 beers I've ever had. A floral, summery pale ale.

Bottom of the can stamped 07/10/18.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy yellowed orange color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head. Mild concave lace slid with the sips.
The aroma nestled in on a sweet citrus to grassy hoppiness then some blueberries, slightly sweet with a touch of tart skin. Subtle crisp pine at the end.
The flavor maintains a wonderful presence of the sweet and bitter hops, then allows the blueberry sweet and tartness to take their place for an absolutely wonderful arrangement overall. Smooth yet crisp citrusy to grassy aftertaste with a light touch of blueberry.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a sly oily sort of feel strolling over my tongue. Carbonation felt nice and low as expected. ABV felt appropriate. Crisp smooth sweet but not sticky finish.
Overall, damn nice APA with a Common Roots creativity with a authentic yet subtle addition of blueberries. Of course, I'd have again.

The "born on" info on the bottom of the can is a little blurred, but I'm guessing 4/24/18. Consumed on 5/13/18.

A: Poured from the can into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy straw yellow with a nice 1-finger of bright white head.

S: Nose provides a punch of tropical fruit (pineapple juice) and lemon peel, with a touch of pine.

T: Pretty much follows the nose, with a modest crackery malt foundation that's followed by the hops: pineapple, grapefruit and lemony citrus all noted, with a touch of leafy and piney hops as well.

M: Light-to-medium in heft, light on the carbonation.

O: Digging this one - a nice lighter APA that's perfect for the warm weather. Very crushable, though at 5.8% ABV, perhaps a bit dangerously so. . . .
