Deep, dark brown pour, opaque in the glass; thick and frothy khaki hued head. Fantastic dark roasted grains with hints of char. Fine taste; light milk chocolate; roasted grain char bitterness. Medium-heavy body; smooth and silky on the palate; slick.
Overall, this is a delightful dark lager. It excels with the looks and especially the aroma. The taste is well-rounded and the mouthfeel glides over the palate. Very good.
ABV: 5.5%; pouring temperature: 51.6 °F; canning info: n/a

A: Poured from the can into a Tree House tulip. Body is black. No real head other than a wisp of tan/khaki film on top.
S: Modest nose of roasted barley malt and a some chocolate.
T: Follows the nose, with roasted barley malt, a hint of coffee and some chocolate (more dark chocolate then milk).
M: A little thin/watery, but this is a lager and shouldn't be terribly hefty. Modest carbonation.
O: An easy drinker, good for the Fall after a full day of raking leaves while making a nice sausage/white bean soup for dinner.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour with an initial beige head that subsides to a thin skin. Roasty aroma, chocolate, bitterness. Taste is dark chocolate, roast malts, light coffee. Creamy and just the right amount of bitterness. Super smooth.

Opaque black with ruby edges body; tan creamy head; ok to good cap retention; heavy ring; some soapy lace. Nose is roast malt; chocolate malt. Entry is mild bitter roast malt; subtle dark chocolate. Medium full; moderate carbonation; no harshness; dry finish. Overall a very pleasant easy drinking beer; mildly roasty notes with overtones of chocolate are tasty; very light bitter linger from roast. I would gladly drink more of this beer.

Look: Very dark chocolate brown. Two fingers of thick, fizzy khaki head with decent retention.
Smell: Toasted dark bread and sesame.
Taste: Dark roast coffee, moderate roast bitterness, earthy coffee grounds on the finish.
Mouthfeel: A little thin, highly carbonated.
Overall: A very bold schwarzbier that'll put some hair on your chest.
