750 mL bottle. Clear deep golden. Smells of dried grass, oak, some oxidation. Tastes a little oxidized too. Lactic acidity, oak, a little yogurt. Dried grass in the back end. Medium low carbonation. Medium body. It's good. I always find it hard to judge these. It's a well-made lambic, but doesn't really compare to the big boys of lambic.

A 750ml corked and capped bottle, bottle no. 1680/2700, with a best before date of June 2024. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen gueuze glass.

Appearance: A slightly hazy golden orange colour with a one finger beige head that had decent retention and settled to a nice thin cap, while leaving some lacing.

Aroma: Tart, red apple, apple peel, oak, lime, lemon, funk, musty, dried grass, and a touch floral.

Taste: Light to moderately sour, tart, red apple, lemon juice, citrus zest, oak, funk, hay, dried grass, with notes of apple cider vinegar.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.

Overall: In truth probably left lost in the cellar for too long (at least for a first try). But, what I did try 9 years in the bottle was bright, vibrant, and enjoyable to drink.

Bottle 1810/2700

Golden yellow color. White head.

A really awesome gueuze with a nice funk and citrus flavor. Lemon and oak. Light musk. Earthy. A touch of pepper and zest.

Lively carbonation.

A very nice gueuze. Super impressed with this.

Bottle #349 of 2700. Pours a golden-orange hue with a 1/8th inch bright white head. Nose reminds me of Cantillon Classic Gueuze - citrus, cork and horse blanket. Taste consistent with nose. Mouthfeel is light and lively with a bright carbonation and a semi-dry finish. I have to say, this was a very good gueuze; however, that rarity and price point make this equally dear to come by.
