500ml pour at the brewery in Wroclaw. Served in a stein.
Mostly clear dark gold, big rocky head. Some carbonation. Smell is light, mostly grain, a little jasmine and honey. Taste is grainy and sweet. Overall...it's not bad, but it's not that good.

Jasne pils. On-draught into a pils glass in Wroclaw. Reviewed from notes taken in Summer 2014. Cost was 6.5 zloty/.3L.
HEAD: One finger worth of off-white foam. Average thickness. Little cream or froth. Average consistency and complexion. Little lacing. Retention is above average - ~3 minutes.
BODY: Translucent yellow of above average vibrance. Clean looking; lacks any visible yeast or sediment.
For an unfiltered unpasteurized pilsner, it looks rather filtered and pasteurized. Appears well-carbonated though, and I'm looking forward to trying it. It's a nice looking pilsner, filtered or not.
AROMA: Pilsner malts, some surprising malt sweetness, a kiss of grassy hop (likely Saaz) character, and straw. A pleasant overall aroma of mild strength, even if the sweetness is a bit concerning. In any case, the aroma suggests a crisp refreshing brew.
TASTE & TEXTURE: Pilsner malts, hints of unbunged kellerbier-redolent character (healthy yeast, oxygenated wort), and light grassy hop character.
It's surprisingly dry and not at all crisp, which prevents it from feeling as refreshing as the finest expressions of the style. Clean, though. A bit too too full-bodied for the style, especially considering its shallow depth of flavour. Average duration and inensity of flavour.
It's a simple beer, sure, but it's probably actually worse off for having been unfiltered/unpasteurized. Not a subtle or intrcate build. Overcarbonated as well.
Not oily, astringent, rough, dragging, hot, or boozy.
OVERALL: Drinkable but underwhelming. It's a mediocre Polish pils with nothing to offer the discerning drinker.
