Received in a proxy/trade hybrid from @turkeysdrinkbeer in February 2022. Drunk in November of that year.
I had this one at my half-brother's birthday drinks so notes are perfunctory at best.
L: Ultra-black with a light coffee-coloured head.
S: Light chocolate and hazelnut. Quite reserved in its aroma.
T: Creamy, nutty, chocolatey, and smooth. Tangy malts.
O: Quite the reserved and mild stout. Easy drinking and moreish but nothing particularly outstanding.
Cheers!

My bestie from Charlotte, NC gave me a can of this beer from a beer of the month club mixed pack. It poured an opaque dark with off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had hints of cocoa. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with very nice chocolate presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Dark cola color with only about an 1/8 inch of head. Chocolate and roasted grain leap out of the glass and a bit of coffee on the nose. The taste has a creamy chocolate note followed by a bitter hazelnut taste. There is sweetness from the lactose. The finish is pie crust and tea. Everything fits together here but it isn't very exciting. Just ok...(Found old notes on this one)

The beer is black in color with a small tan head that persists.
Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt.
Ver nice taste chocolate up front, some dark and some sweet. Underlying coffee taste.
Medium mouthfeel, a good, drinkable beer.

This is really bland now. Idk whats going on with this place or maybe it's all in my head, there's a lot of things I don't like as much once I got more experience but this place....yikes. This is so fucking bland and I don't remember it being this way even 6 months ago. Maybe it's just a weird can idk. Anyways it still looks great there's just.... nothing else.

Canned November 11th 2020.
Pours pitch black with an ample head of tan foam.
Smells of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, minimal presence of lactose.
I really like the chocolate notes in the taste, some coffee, does have some lactose in the taste but it is kind of light.
Good mouthfeel, good beer.

Large bubbles form a short dark tan head with a light clingy lace that quickly settles to 1 finger or less. Dark opaque brown or almost black color.
There is a lot going on in the nose with notes of molasses, coffee, dark roasted grain, and dark herbal hop notes.
Taste follow nose to a degree with slightly sweet molasses on the front and roasted grain and bitter notes following. Not so much oats or chocolate on the palate for me. Finishes a bit like coffee that is slightly acidic. Aha, couldn't put my finger on another prominent note until I read spoony's review below, black licorice.
Body is medium without any noticeable creaminess, just a soft mouthfeel with mild carbonation and a stickiness.
I anticipated a creamy and sweeter stout more like Guinness or a Milk Stout. Overall a decent stout that reminds me of coffee.

12oz can from Beer Drop. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of oatmeal, chocolate and coffee. Sweet chocolate taste with roasted malt and a creamy touch.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan colored head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste is filled with flavors of chocolate and also has notes of lactose. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a touch of dryness in the finish.
O: I really liked all of the chocolate in the smell and taste of this beer.
Serving type: can
