Pours a burnt orange, moderate head. Aroma isn’t very robust, just some rye & wheat malt. The brewery added Weizen yeast into the traditional Roggenbier mix, which adds some clove & mild citrus. The rye expression is good, but that has a spice element already so I found the weizen flavors didn’t really add much too it and if anything detracted from a profile that is typically simple & clean.
