16oz can thanks to Rich. Golden colored pour with small frothy white head. Big dank hoppy nose, citrus notes follow. Taste focuses on the citrus, some malt sweetness evident, and of course a big funky hop finish.

On tap at the Sacramento taphouse. Reviewing tersely on phone.
Clear brassy golden. Small head. Strong resin bitterness, both smell and taste. Lots of grapefruit rind. Mouthfeel is thick, chewy. Very nice.

Pours clear amber gold with a tiny head that completely dissipated and left no lacing. Aroma & taste are solid and pleasant but not standout really. Solid med/full feel with good bitterness punch. Maybe a bit sweet. Overall, it's good, but it's up against a quite a few great TIPAs out there these days.

This was my first beer from Fieldwork that just absolutely blew the doors off of me. At the time it was like OMG PTY has competition, but then you come to realize that in the last few years, there are dozens of triple ipas made in California alone that are just as comparable. Anyways, this pours yellow to light orange and a respectable amount of clarity given the yield of hop weight that must be in this. The hop aromatics are just massive, like a half dozen hops used in this. Whatever you want in hop aroma its here, tropical, citrus, trees, total conglomeration here.
Taste, jeez, so big and hoppy, both juiciness and bitterness, but the body is light. The alcohol is warm, but it doesn't burn. The body, just can't say enough about how dry the mouth feel is, how light the body is that just delivers massive waves of varied hops. If you pull this out of a cooler with ice, you can crush it pretty quickly while still getting a big amount of flavor from it. These are a party in a can, and probably the best triple ipa I can think of in a can. World class stuff. Do not sleep on this, will buy a 6 pack every time they release it if I can.

Fieldwork hasn't made a bad IPA in my opinion yet.
you get a nice taste of that 11% abv at the end of this one, but that is my only complaint
great aroma that stays with the whole beer.
Nice citrus taste in the beginning before that abv shows up.
would revisit.

Great hop use - poured from can from 2017 SFBW. Base is nice, not syrupy but abv is way too high. Executing the same hop profile with 1/2 the abv and I would be far more impressed, just hard to get through a can.

Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip. the beer pours a nearly transparent orange with a small white head. The scent is very resinous and somewhat tropical. Does not drink like a triple IPA. very easy to drink when cold as it warms it becomes a bit more boozy. The flavor rushes with pine and grassy tones. A sharp bite comes through from the carbonation after you swallow. A dangerous beer at 11%. I can only hope to drink it again.

Pounder can into a snifter appears clear golden yellow with a white cap a finger strong.
The aroma contains herbs and fruity pulp/zest/pith with mild mango and slight dankness of hops.
The taste is sweet then herbal and fruity from a combo of hops and alcohol.
This is medium to fuller in body with modest carbonation. A pretty damn solid triple ipa with great hop character that isnt totally masked by the alcohol presence. Would drink again.

32oz growler filled yesterday poured into tulip.
A: Pours a clear light golden with a finger of very dense, greasy, and oily looking off-white head that faded into a fuzzy collar and wispy lace. A complex network of sticky lace was left down the glass.
S: Huge, juicy, tropical fruit nose with tons of guava, mango and papaya. Very tropical-forward and sweet smelling. I get a hint of pale crackery malt and a hint of boozy alcohol. No bitterness on the nose.
T: The sweet tropical notes from the nose are present up front, but the taste is overall much more herbal and dank than expected. There's a huge bitterness in the finish that is green, herbal, and slightly spicy (spice not heat), a touch of evergreen mint, and maybe onion/garlic in the finish. Aftertaste is crazy bitter, strong, and potent, with a ton of herb garden flavors. Pale, crisp, and light malt backbone is hardly noticeable but definitely lightens up the feel of the beer.
M: Mouthfeel has some rough edges from the strong booze, but that's forgivable as I'd expect some alcohol presence to be noticeable. Still, the booze combined with the bitterness don't make this the smoothest thing to drink; the soft carbonation helps. Mouthfeel is greasy and full of hop oil, but this thankfully has a rather drying finish that also really helps the drinkability.
O: Awesome nose and I love the fairly light (for a triple IPA) drying body, but I didn't love the flavor of the finish/aftertaste, and the double digit alcohol was definitely noticeable. A solid triple IPA, but not my personal favorite flavor profile, and not the smoothest alcohol hidden triple I've had.
