a very well made but quite basic farmhouse ale. i expected this to have a little more weirdness to it on the yeast side of things, but its pretty simple there, just a bit of french type saison yeast and a hint of a fruitier belgian vibe, but no rustic funk or bretty properties at all. the grain base is fuller here, lots of wheat, maybe some oats or something too, its fluffy and a little dense at the same time. it also has a decent little hop spike at the end, grassy and summery, hay loft sort of complexion, but this beer warms up kind of poorly overall, it seems to come apart a little when it isnt ice cold, gets a little overly yeasty, but no more interesting, and starts to feel a little sluggish, not quite as bubbly as i like in the style either, but a plenty passable version of the style, just lacking some nuance, especially on the yeast side. i much preferred their bretted farmhouse, cirque i believe it was called, much drier and brighter, but this is pretty good too if you like them a little simpler.

L: Hazy straw gold color with a small fizzy head and little lacing, lots of carbonation bubbles.
S: Fresh baked bread, pepper, lemon peel and hints of coriander and other spices, some banana too.
T: Lemon peel, pepper, bready malt, with some banana and a slight bitterness.
F: Lighter body and high carbonation.
