This pours a pale gold color with bright white foam. There's a big dank aroma, true to name, with a hint of melon on the end. Big bitterness and a long lingering finish. Well rounded and balanced, clean and crisp. This was a good one.

4 oz taster in a tulip glass at the Fieldwork Brewing Co. brewery/tasting room in Berkeley. This is their take on a lager, with some Fieldwork hops thrown in.
L: Pours a clear yellow color with a smallish head.
S: Pretty good smelling beer. A citrusy hops nose, not overwhelming, but more forward than most lagers.
T/F: Pretty much just two notes....typical lager lightness and crispness, but with a lot of hops bitterness at the end, but not much hop flavor. Medium carbonation and a fairly dry finish.
O: This one didn't do it for me. I find the mixture of lager brewing with IPA-style hops creates a clashing of flavors, as opposed to an interesting mixture. It's an OK beer, just not my cup of tea.
