Virtual Planetoid is an IPA big enough to have its own weather system, taking launch with a 7.7% ABV and dripping juice like an orange on a toothpick. Low on malt character but large and chewy in nature, the drinkability of this hop monster is astonishing. Citra and Mandarina hops hold hands and skip across the palate leaving behind footprints of Valencia orange and tangerine juice that happily linger from sip to sip. Aromas of orange blossom, marmalade, and fresh squeezed citrus smash around your nasal cavity like a drunk Scot at a wedding reception. Easy to enjoy and delicious to drink, Virtual Planetoid Huge IPA will leave your palate collapsed in a puddle of satisfaction with your hand reaching for another.

Hazy golden banana color, small head and good lacing. Sweet melon flavors and some zingy New Zealand style hop fruit flavor. Sweet, but has some balancing funky bite. Pretty tasty.

A big, chewy IPA with Citra, Citra DynaBoost, and Luminosa hops, bursting with Valencia orange, tangerine juice, marmalade, lemonheads, and fresh-squeezed citrus. Low malt, high drinkability, and dripping with juice like an orange on a toothpick. [hops: Citra, Citra DynaBoost, Luminosa] (Source: Fieldwork Brewing Company)

Had this as the 5th beer in a 6 beer flight at Fieldwork in Berkeley, CA earlier this year (or possibly November 2018). Was the sweetest beer in the flight.
Pours like a hazy glass of orange juice, thin 1/4" white head on top that does not retain itself all that long. Cool color though. The aroma goes all in on the orange vibe. Citra and Mandarina gotta be the most citrus (sweet side) hops you can bang. I realize the commercial tug job on this says it is low in the sweetness department, but it comes off a little sweeter than that claim. I can't really tell whether the burn I'm getting is all alcohol, or hops, or both. There's just a lot of tangerine and orange flavors to this one, with what tastes/feels like a kick of alcohol that gets your attention, but doesn't make the beer a chore to drink.
I'd buy a 6 pack if I came across cans, even at their high price point. I dunno, for my tastes, I'd rather have Pulp.

Crowler canned 2/28/19, consumed 3/1/19
Pours very hazy & cloudy, looks like top quality pulp-free orange juice, finger-sized white head with a nice thick ring of head retention, good amount of spotty lacing.
Full aroma of various citrus fruits with just a touch of peel and very light floral notes.
Wonderful flavor, fruity yeast esters and absolute dank hoppy citrus goodness with more intensity than the aroma. Terrific blend.
Feel is medium, perfect smoothness and creaminess, low carbonation, and nice low bitterness.
Overall, wow, this is an absolute outstanding regular hazy from Fieldwork. One of the best I've had from them or anyone really.

On tap.
L: murky straw yellow in color. Definitely hazy. A finger of a stark white cap that dissipated rapidly. Spotty lacing left behind on glass.
S: melon, citrus and grass. Mild bubble gum presence. Smells like a typical Fieldwork NEIPA, which isn’t a bad thing.
T: really awesome. Loads of grapefruit and orange, along with mango, pineapple and guava. Pink starburs/bubble gum flavor throughout. Grass, yeast and lemon on finish with mix of black pepper.
F: medium in body and weight. Moderate carbonation. Slick and creamy feel.
O: a great offering to have tried from the Fieldwork line-up. I would drink again, and am glad to try. Cheers!

On tap at Cathead’s. Pours a turbid pale orange with an inch of head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is lots of tropical and citrus fruits. Sweet grapefruit, pineapple, mango, tangerine and peach. The taste is grapefruit, peach, orange and pineapple. Juicy orange finish with a hint of floral hops. Medium body with low carbonation and a slightly dry mouthfeel. Mild alcohol heat. Worth seeking out.

One of Fieldworks rotating IPA'w, super hazy, looks like a Dole product when poured, opaque orange in color. Strong notes of mango, pineapple and guava...with maybe a gint of banana in there.
Creamy, pulpy OJ-like mouthfeel with low carbonantion, a nice citrus zest on the finish...this is one of my favorites from FW....definition of a real juicebomb...
excellent choice on a hot summer day!

On tap - pours a cloudy murky golden honey color with thin white head and a bit of lacing. Nose is all big citrus and fruit with a bit of danky hops. Taste is a BIG juice bomb with some hoppiness. This is really good ,I'll be having another.

Killer nose on this, rich melon and stringent hops, candied malt. However the taste/feel were unbalanced, way too much sharp citrus flavors. Similar to overripe in that sense. Not my fav.
