Canned on 8/16/23; consumed on 12/19/23
Pours a slightly foggy, deep honey-gold body topped with two fingers of lush, eggshell-white foam; great head retention yields a finger of craggy cap, a large, frothy collar, and myriad spattering of chunky, soapy lacing caked across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of hint of sweet bread and grassy honey maintain consistent prominence as floral underpinnings build, while distant minerality textures tones of bread dough over time.
Taste opens to a clean minerality, leaving room for bread dough and a touch of grass to progressively accent as floral yeast textures and mild notes of honey expand through the back end.
Mouthfeel offers a lighter body and a moderate-full spritz of carbonation, with deftly snappy interludes flushing a dry, flaky mid-palate and becoming increasingly delicate in texture through the swallow.
A rustic touch is a perpetual influence over predominant waves of fresh bread and tempered grain, proving an especially welcome detailing to elevate an already competent festbier.
