We wanted to take everything we've learned in our almost 10 years as a brewery and apply it to our flagship beer, Pulp. We threw everything we could at it to see how powerful its final form would be and christened it Pulp Gold Label. We start with the standard Pulp brewing process all the way until the whirlpool where we up the hopping slightly by introducing Citra Cryo hops, then it takes its journey to the fermenter where it is met with a hop-dipping of Citra Incognito before fermentation kicks off. Once fermentation is active we throw in a first dry hopping of Citra Cryo, Citra Spectrum, and Citra T90 pellets to induce some biotransformation and kick up some aggressive passion fruit and tropical aromas. After fermentation is complete we hit it with our normally gigantic dry-hopping of Citra to develop all of those fresh squeezed orange juice notes we've come to love in Pulp. Next we chill the beer down to near freezing temps and throw at it a third dry-hopping of Citra and let the beer marinate on those at cold temps for an extended period of time to pick up a bunch of complex top aromas and extract beautiful and delicate brighter notes of limoncello, tangerine zest, fresh-hop green, and citrus punch. Last but especially not least, we send this 2 million power level IPA to brite tank so it can ingest a healthy dose of Citra Quantum till it is emitting a purple aura of perfection and is ready to stand alone as the final form of Pulp we will likely ever see.

I like the can design, pours a creamy shade of yellow with a little foam on top, taste is muted orange juice, wanting for more, scent is not overtly present, doesn't have much flavor remaining on the palate. I prefer the original Pulp.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly bready-biscuity malty, and an orange citrus-dank nose on this one! Taste follows exactly with an orange-grapfruit citrus bitter finish. It finishes a bit different IMO...on one hand there is a nice kick of hop burn on the backend, but it is also slightly watery and the hop expression doesn't carry all the way through. This is decent and a good effort, but not what I used to enjoy from them when they were at their peak.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Big time mix of ripe juicy citrus, tropical, and stone fruit, some slightly spicy grassy herbal notes, light floral tones, biscuity malt, and caramel honey sweetnesses.
T: Juicy zesty citrus, tangerine/orange, Meyer lemon, lime, and grapefruit, tropical and stone fruit, mango, passion fruit, apricot, and peach, subtle grassy herbal slight resinous notes, floral hints, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate, a bit chewy.
O: I've had a few different Pulp variants, and I think this is my new favorite. The first sip was great, and it just kept opening up from there. I think they definitely elevated all the best things that make Pulp what it is, while also smoothing a few tiny rough spots like hop burn. Properly refined and worthy of its sleek gold can.
