Nick brought this and seven other beers out to me on a recent work trip. Obviously WeldWerks is a killer and I was looking to add to the mystique. Was labeled online as, “New England-style Double IPA brewed with Lemondrop, Mandarina Bavaria and 2018 hand-selected Citra hops.”
Poured a hazy golden color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. No noticeable bubbles underneath. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Citra, lime, lemon drop, floral, tangerine and citrus zest. Straight Citra from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted similar to the nose. Got Citra, tangerine, lemon drop, lime and floral. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Pretty good overall, but not as good as I hoped. (Overall - 4.00)
