You may have noticed that we've gone absolutely crazy over the Lotus hop recently. Without exaggeration we can say that it's easily the most unique hop varietal to come across our path in recent memory, and so we thought it would be the perfect addition to the next DDH Juicy Bits variant. Lending huge, fun notes of a tangerine creamsicle, Lotus complements the already-amazing mix of pineapple, apricot and papaya coming from the rest of the DDH base. We can't wait for you folks to try this one.

Pours a matte yellow color. Completely opaque and cloudy, but not quite sludgy in appearance. Thick 3 finger head collapses leaving just a partial splotch of foam.
Aroma has notes of lemon and lime, tangerine and peach, with an exotic fruity aroma that I can't quite place. Aroma is moderately sweet. As the beer warms its got a slight tea like quality.
Taste somewhat follows the nose, but is not as fruity as the nose implied. Light notes of melon, peach, tangerine and mango give way to a lime bite on the back end before transitioning into a grassy hop bitterness.
Feel is smooth, moderately bodied. A bit chalky almost. Spritzy but moderate carbonation.
Overall a nice NEIPA. I enjoyed the lotus hops and will definitely will be looking forward to trying some other beers using this hop.

Mellow hazy yellow with a white head. Great aromas of tropical fruit, especially mango and pineapple, with soft peach complimenting. Taste mirrors with more hop bitter on the finish, fruit is omnipresent but not overly juicy. Body is hazy in a percolating way, sneaky creamy underneath it all, hop finish is dry and crisp. Solid variant

16oz can served in a big snifter. Dated 03/31/20.
Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a medium-large head that fades fairly quickly to islands and a medium-thickness ring. Smell is melon, floral (like honeysuckle), resin.
Taste is a flash of fruity lightness followed by some pine and some vegetation bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium and dry, resinous. Overall, pretty good beer.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 3/31/20, so 6 weeks old.
Looks great in the glass, dull orange juice colored body with a big white head which persists in some form throughout most of the drink, leaving layers of lacing initially.
Faint fruit aromas.
Soft hop profile, citrus and non citrus fruit, a touch warm from the abv. Slight resin feel.
Mouth closer to medium than full, finish warm, light fruit with a touch of pine.
Overall, pretty decent NE ipa, not stunning, but certainly worthwhile drinking.

Canned 3/31/20; drank 5/9/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big off-white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Pineapple, spring water & cane sugar notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Grapefruit, fresh cut grass, table sugar & faint pine flavors.
Smelled better than it tasted; worth a quaff but not amazing.

Pours a hazy orange juice with a one-finger, creamy, white head. Leaves nice lacing.
Smells of candied hops, much like Tang. Vanilla, lactose, almond and malt also in nose.
Juicy, oily citrus hops. Mangoe, orange, a little melon and vanilla. Slight peppery finish.
Soft mouthfeel with medium body.
Another excellent Weldworks NEIPA.
