Pours an opaque dark orange and is capped with over two fingers of fluffy white head; good retention results in a brief chunky cap, thin collar, and well-maintained tapestry of thicker, soapy lacing.
Aromas open strongly with dank pineapple, gooseberry, and elements of earth and musty grass, while tropical overtones of ripe papaya, tangerine, and mango brighten the back end.
Taste shows dank pineapple and grapefruit highlighted among a dense, slightly dank tropical fruit medley as a light alcohol heat builds at the back end of the mid-palate; a touch of sweet mango cream and bitter herbs linger through the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-full body with dense, very slightly prickly, toned-down carbonation; crisp, semi-juicy along the mid-palate, with a slick, juicy pop on the finish/swallow; minor alcohol presence largely fades into the juicier characteristics building on the palate.
There's an inherent dank and tropical tandem I'm really enjoying in this one, but the booziness stays a prime, if only minor, detractor across the profile; in spite of it coming slightly unglued at times, it's an otherwise, smooth, expressive NEDIPA.
