Initial impression from a 16 fl oz pull-tab can (canned 04/27/20):

"Hazy India Pale Ale." Hopped with Mosaic, Citra, Experimental hops HBC342 & HBC520. 7.2% ABV.

05/17/20 can:

Hazy yellow-orange body. Looks like fruit juice save for the white ~2cm head floating atop for 8 minutes after pouring.

Aroma: Yogurty tang, citrus pulp, Odwalla tropical fruit juice, mellow citrus (orange, mainly...I don't find any grapefruit, Szechuan, mango, tangerine, et al.), maybe some buried blueberry from the Mosaic when I really look for it. Gooseberry. On the back end, a hint of some kind of lychee-adjacent light fruit.

TASTE & TEXTURE: Has a lychee-like sliminess to its texture that isn't as unpleasant as that descriptor might make it sound. Smooth, wet, refreshing, medium-bodied, mellow, well-carbonated. Pulpy but not uneven in texture. Has more weight on the palate than your typical (filtered/clarified) IPA.

Orange citrus is obvious but there's no concomitant acidity. Gooseberry, vague tropical fruit (guava, maybe, but I think papaya too?), tangy yogurty flavour.

Mosaic's signature subtle blueberry flavour is absent. Citra's full diversity of citric flavour isn't fully realized in this. I think most of the flavour is coming from the experimental hop varietals, which isnt a bad thing - but Citra and Mosaic in combination so often seem to be so well executed and they just aren't synergizing in this as well as they tend to in other IPAs.

OVERALL: A refreshing and drinkable IPA with enough experimental hop flavour to make it worth trying once (in my case, picking up a 4-pack) but not worth buying over most of Weldwerks' Juicy Bits variants.

More nice work from one of Colorado's finest IPA breweries, but not a top tier effort.

L - Murky, orange, opaque, big fluffy head. Great lacing.
S - Fantastiballs orange-sicle, with juicy dank hops spilling over the weird pine-tang citric element.
T - Where is shines; has full palate impact, has a little more wide-ranging interest than Juicy Bits (that's saying something).
F - Great carbonation, a little sweet maybe with the residual sugars on this, but it stays prickly.
O - a really well made beer. Only beer I liked better on 10.12.19 was the Extra Extra JB Mosaic.

Canned 2 weeks ago.

Pours deep hazy orange with a lasting white head.

The nose is grapefruit, pineapple, orange, and dank weed.

The taste is orange, pineapple, lemon, and medium-bitter dankness.

The mouthfeel opens medium and soft then dries out.

Overall, a very nice IPA but slightly rough around the edges compared to WeldWerks' best.
