Collaboration with Bottle Logic Brewing
Imperial stout brewed with techniques and favorite malts from Weldwerks and Bottle Logic, laid to rest in freshly emptied 8-12 year Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for 18 months. After barrel aging, we conditioned the beer on a blend of Ugandan and Fiji vanilla beans for several weeks, then finished the beer with freshly roasted Belize cacao nibs.

Bottle at share, from Steve. Silky black pour, flat, oily. Sweet aroma, chocolate, vanilla. Taste comes in like a milky way bar. Sweet, succulent , full. ABV evident, but not overpowering.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stotu with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bourbon with some strong vanilla notes and some balck chocolate notes. Taste is also a mix of woody bourbon notes with some strong vanilla notes with some black chocolate notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is full with oily texture and good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes. Nice barrel aged stout but vanilla is somewhat overpowering.

On tap. Black color. Oily thick. Dark tan head.
Tobacco and dark chocolate. Massive vanilla. Molasses. Barrels seemed to be heavy char or something. A bit dry and roasty. Full bodied. Warming and thick.
