At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from their boxset at my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My second beer from the Oakville brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in Cameron's Smile Pack; coded Feb 22 2024 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a sunny golden-yellow colour with a foggy complexion; situated atop is half an inch of tight, foamy white head that fizzles off within a minute or so. A thin collar is left surrounding a few wisps of film on the surface; looks like a typical light lager, albeit less pale than average. Lemon zest and lime juice on the nose, with suggestions of doughy, wheaty malts and floral, noble hops.
A nice, light, citrusy lager with sensible balance. Lemon is the first flavour I get, joined with wheaty malts and a hint of doughy sweetness. Lime zest and a very faint hint of grassy hops crop up on the back end, with lime-ade disspating into an off-dry aftertaste with a touch of citrus pithiness. Light in body, with moderately active carbonation that adds some spritz to this light lager's smooth mouthfeel. Superb drinkability - tossing back a couple of these on a hot summer day would be an effortless proposition.
Final Grade: 3.78, a B+. Be My Zest is one of the better light lime lagers I've tried over the years, and so I'll shower it with as much praise as I'm capable of mustering for an above average light beer. Most importantly, the citrus flavours seem fairly authentic - maybe Cameron's used flavourings, maybe they didn't, but either way it comes off as 'real enough'. Secondly, they didn't over (or under)-do the citrus, at least not IMO. I also appreciate the faint note of noble hops, which provides some added character that I don't necessarily expect to see in this style. Good for what it is, and probably superior to the macro alternatives.
