An intensely malty lager with a chestnut hue and full bodied finish. Loads of Munich, and caramelized malts provide a rich sweetness with notes of toasted bread, honey and dried fruit. Brewed in 2020 then aged for 11 months in Buffalo Trace and Maker’s Mark barrels to pick up notes of vanilla, oak, and bourbon.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, opaque, thin beige head. Whiskey first in the aroma, sweet, malty, raisins. Whiskey leads the taste as well, coupled with rich sweet malts and pit fruit notes. Whiskey flavors but does not feel too boozy, despite the he 9.9% ABV.

Opaque brown body with a tan cap. Hot whiskey and sickly sweet caramel malt with euro macro sweetness leads the taste with faint toast, oak, and as it warms stronger honey dipped raisin. Nose has some earth to balance a touch more than taste. Feel is a mess though, whiskey cuts right through the malt body, yeast is absent, yet almost syrupy because there is some viscosity, hot and sweet are the final impressions

22oz bottle with teal wax split between a pair of globes. Bottle number 274 of 1500. 2021 special release.

Pours a deep toffee brown, murky, with a small head. Smell is strong bourbon on open (even at arm's length), very boozy. Lots of cooked dates, a little bit of bordering-on-burnt toffee.

Taste is REALLY boozy (until it warms up a bit, then things start to mellow out), LOTS of dates, some almost burnt toffee, and a mild nutty bitterness that amplifies as time goes on.

Mouthfeel is fairly thick, smooth, not quite velvety. Overall, it's good, although kind of odd.
