On tap at the brewery. Entering review from notes.
Pours a very dark brown with almost no head. Translucent. Smell is nutty, roasty, toffee, sweet.
Taste leans hard into the nutty zone, some tea, some toast dark sweet bread.
Mouthfeel is light and smooth. Overall, good beer.

Dark amber on the verge of brown with little head.
Smell was classic English Brown with strong notes of roasted malt and nuts. Aroma was spot on in my opinion.
Taste was also spot on with roasted malt and nutty in character with some light sweet flavors of fig and raisin.
Mouthfeel was a bit watery for my taste. Could use a little more body to it but probably on for style.
Overall it was quite good. I really enjoyed this one. It was a great cap to a good night.

On draft at the Waikiki location. part of a flight of four. Enjoyable brew. Not normally a fan of Brown Ales, but this one was decent. Roasty malty flavor, nice scent and easy to drink, like all Waikiki Brews.

On tap at Ka'anapali Grille And Tap Room in Lahaina, HI.
Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and roasted nut aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, burnt caramel, roasted nut, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer with solid aromas, but the taste doesn't match up to me.
Serving type: on tap.

Fairly light appearance; cola-brown, clear on the edges. Roasty and toasty, with a bit of chocolate on the nose. Every bit of that translates to the palate; quite grainy. Very roasty finish. Lively and slick. A very good brown ale.

A: draft into a pint glass, red brown with a short off white head that lingers leaving good lacing, clear
S: nutty, pecan, peanut, walnut
T: nutty, bready, just enough English hops to keep balanced
M: medium to light with lower carbonation
O: very nice example of the style
