This saison could be more lively and hoppy before it can compete with the better saisons. But O'de Lys does its job: it pairs well with my vegetable soup.
O'de Lys Looks only slightly above the average for saisons. A nice foam dissipates quickly and leaves not a trace of lace. Smells are yeast turning the sweet malt into hard fruit (apples, pears.) Tastes are balanced with just enough hops. Slightly less than medium-mouthed.
I give good Overall Hugs to O'de Lys for being a good table ale and Toye for being a start-up. In a few years, I hope to find their brews again with a website to back them up. A Sante' !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
