16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, pineapple, grapefruit and subtle pine. Sweet tropical fruitiness with toasted caramel and a sharp, piney bite.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned a mere 2 weeks ago, so super fresh.

Hazy? No, let's call it what it is. Solid non citrus fruit juice color. Nice small white head diminishes to a ring and faint covering. There is a little lacing.

Nice aroma of non citrus fruit.

This is a good tasting low abv DIPA. Fruity, a nice bitterness toward the end.

Mouth close to full, finish bittersweet.

Overall, a very nice drink, though more of a NE IPA than a DIPA. Happy to have another 3 in reserve.

Was a lot fuller mouthfeel than the appearance let on. The sweetness and bitterness was balanced perfectly for my taste preference. The nose kept me wanting another sip.

Ale poured a bright gold with ample head. This was close to two months old but aroma was still citrus, maybe slightly muted. Wonderful citrus flavor new england style with very smooth finish, No alcohol in flavor. Excellent, another winner from our home town brewery.

Thanks Drew.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice hazy burnt orange to copper color with a small white foamy stifled head. Just some wispy light filmy lace glossed the sides of the glass.
The aroma had a cool chill-like piney needle sweet to bitter quality rolling into some peachy to soft melon.
The flavor leaned towards a soft sweetness of melon, needle-like piney softness delving into peach flesh and skin. Super subtle hardness but enriching a nice dry and semi-crisp aftertaste of peach and pine nuts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps a bit closer to full with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt nice and low key for a New England styled IPA. ABV felt good. Finish was semi-crisp with a piney bittersweet to peachy character strolling all around.
Overall, a very nice New England styled DIPA, well worthy of having again. As a fan of the band "Need To Breathe" I was listening to "Girl Named Tennessee" most of the time while I consumed this beer. Sorry, that really has nothing to do with my rating of this beer other than this is my first Bearded Iris beer and they're from Tennessee.

Canned 10.16.18, opened 11.10.18

“What’s Bibco?”

Translucent golden yellow, pencil thin off white foam layer, receded quickly on the pour

Aroma is melon, passion fruit, whiff of peach

Taste is melon with a hint of citrus over a malty base

Suds up in the mouth, low bitterness, hop taste lingers slightly and doesn’t bite

Good beer

This is fine, not really sure what the style theyre going for here is. When they can make solid hazy NEIPAs, then produce mid tier stuff like this, it confuses me. This is basically homestyle with different hops, low bitterness, low ish malt IPA with dry hopping. Well short of their best

Pours slightly hazy from a 16oz can with a moderate 1 finger head. Rich golden in color, with a slight pretty pinkish orange tint, indicative on the flavors to come.

Passion fruit and melon on the nose. Very vibrant tropical citrus.

Primary tasting notes in ripe melon, mango, and heavy passion fruit. Very pleasant and refreshing with well hidden bitterness and alcohol.

Appearance: Pours slightly hazy and amber colored with a two fingered head of foam; decent retention and lacing action

Smell: Tropical fruit notes of peaches, pineapple, orange and lemon

Taste: Bready malt forward, with the peach and pineapple developing; through the middle, the citrus starts to build, bringing orange and tarter lemon tones; the finish is nicely balanced with a hint of sweetness

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A really impressive IPA; Bearded Iris does a great job with the style

Beautiful beer. Well balanced and all. Poors like most bearded iris’s; bright thick orange. Smells overwhelmingly citrusy with a strong base of floral. Taste is like most of their beers, thick from oats, sharp from the heavy dry hop of citra, and a beautiful piney bitterness that builds the foundation to the beer. This one is closer to my mom town gem, so I can’t help but talk it up! Please drink this beer and give the style a chance!

Thanks goes out to Buck89 for this brew.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 01/22/18

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy orangy color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, peach), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, peach), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Addictive! Orange Juilus! Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks John!

Wowza New England style IPAs. Bearded Iris has done it again. This beer pours a golden, hazy orange color. Nose is citrusy and luscious. Taste is heavy of the same citrus notes, but hops kick in at backend. Great follow through on taste.

Revisit from a can dated 7/26/18. Look is hazy yellow/orange with a finger of white head capped. Smells of fruits (not sure which kinds, kinda mixed) and sweet malts. Taste kind of matches the smell but it’s kinda messy! Feel is smooth with a subtle pine bite in the back! Overall descent but have had better from BI!

American IIPA brewed with Simcoe and Citra. Poured from a can into a Goose Island tulip. The pour is slightly hazy and light amber with a nicely-formed crown of white foam that has good retention. On the nose I get fresh tropical fruit notes like oranges, peaches, pineapples, lemon, and grapefruit.

Medium body with an oily feel. The flavor follows the nose well, though it is a little sweeter than I anticipated. Ample bready malt up front supports the barrage of tropical fruit flavors from the hops. All the oranges, pineapples, and lemon promised by the nose arrive in short order. The hops never get out of control and the balance is superb. It doesn't taste bitter at all, just juicy. Finishes with oranges, pineapple, and some honey.

Another fantastic IPA from Bearded Iris. First there was Homestyle, then Scatterbrain, and now this. All 3 have been very impressive. So grateful these beers are available where I live.

To every yin, there's a yang. Therefore theres a floral for every earthy. And this is the harmony that the Bearded Iris team applies to their bold and hazy IPA with the irresistible fruitiness of citra hops along with the bitter earthiness of Simcoe for a beer that's balanced and complex.

Rich aromas of citrus abound along with a tangy scent of exotic tropical fruit. Herbal and grassy, a light pungent aroma of hemp radiates from the glass. Off Beat brings an old school aroma with hay, grasses and grapefruit although the ale is hazy with the appearance of whipped buttercream. Its lacy froth invites a taste that bursts on the palate with a pastry sweet honey, poundcake and taffy.

With the sweetness slowly fading, the taste of hops permeate the creaminess of grain with a cleansing taste of citronella, lemon and orange, with a kiss of lime. Sherbet-like in taste, the beer's creamy sweetness is softly gelatin-like before a brisk taste of passionfruit, kiwi and papaya bring a tropical medley that suggests tropical fruit punch. Creamy and milky in texture, the late palate is modestly bitter with a smooth and herbal finish of cannabis and chive.

White grapefruit and a fresh grassiness comes with a smooth bite to close the session while a medium length aftertaste of pulled candy and herb leave lasting memories on a savory IPA that's still quite crisp, clean and refreshing, and with a sprucy gin-like spice to exit the palate.

On tap at the source. Turbid bright golden color with a creamy white head. Big citrus and resin yet aroma. Taste followed with bright grapefruit, pine, resin, etc. pillowy soft feel. Typical great Bearded Iris.
