L - 1 and a half fingers of frothy eggshell white head atop an appealing orange juice body. This is a stunner.
S - herb, bread, skunk?, grapefruit. Unusual. Hoping it doesn’t taste like skunk.
T - interesting. No skunk thankfully. Floral hops at first, that are quickly crushed by a wave of bitter grapefruit. Bread, a good hit of dank, sweet orange flesh, some booze, just a hint of cheese. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness. Moderate-low booziness.
F - medium-full body with average carb.
O - I’m torn on this one. Without the floral/skunk aspect it would be an all star, but I find that aspect a little too dominant and distracting. It’s nicely bitter and incredibly flavorful. I think it’s the El Dorado that throws this off.

Copenhagen 15/1 2021. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Metal can with a black label. Waves in green and red.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong, boozy and fruity sweet odor mingling with rich citric notes. Sweet fermented mango and papaya. Hints of decay. Grape fruit and citrus. A bit sharp.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness laden with alcohol followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is kind of dry with a boozy streak.
Fine intense DIPA balancing sweet boozy fruitiness and citric bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (20% clarity) medium orange color with a moderate white head. SRM of 8. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of orange citrus, grapefruit citrus, pineapple rind. Some resinous tangerine and stonefruit aromas underneath. Some faint citrus rind on the finish. Balanced aromas.
Flavor: Moderately strong flavors of orange citrus, grapefruit citrus, some pineapple and citrus rind before a tangerine and stonefruit earthiness underneath. Mild bitterness or hop astringency is present. Balanced, slightly sweet on the finish.
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Mildly bitter citrus rind, slightly sweet on the finish.
Compared to Hop Butcher The Jewels 8/19/22: Pours a similar appearance. Milder aromas. More orange and grapefruit citrus. More tangerine and stonefruit. Less green citrus and tropical fruit, pineapple, green banana, and flower. Sweeter with more astringency.
Overall: A decent NEIPA here. Showcases the Citra well. A little bit of the El Dorado. Not as much from the Vic Secret. Orange, tangerine, citrus rind with a bit of earthy stonefruit. West-coast flavors with an East-coast fruitiness. Mild bitterness is present to balance some of the juice. Balanced, but nothing here really stands out. I'd call it average among the pack. (Rating: 3.93)

A - Pours a pale orange body, hazy but not completely opaque. Short head, quick fade, leaving just a small bubble cap.
S - Strong hit of pine and citrus hops, a great drawing nose that makes you want to dive right in.
T - Citrus front and center, tangerine and a bit of grapefruit, a middle that brings a touch of limestone minerality, and a light pith bitterness to linger as the juiciness fades.
M - Incredibly agile weight, easy drinking and no sign of booziness to tax the drinker. Clean finish.
O - Superb. This delivers flavor, is a wonderful beer to tip back, and is surprisingly punchy, given the feel. So good.

Pours a turbid yellow orange color with two fingers of off white head.
Aroma of over ripe pineapple, melon and booze.
Strong alcohol presence throughout. Seems like more than 8.3. It kind of detracts from the fruit flavors.
Mouthfeel was a bit lighter than expected with adequate carbonation.
Overall I wasn’t very impressed by this.
