Clear, golden color. Big, white head. Cereal, grass, and lemon in the aroma. Light and crisp. Moderately bitter taste.

Pours dirty gold with some light opacity; white head, not much retention but a nice cap sticks around for a while.

The nose is cereal and grain like; vague hop character, I would say it leans very lightly herbal, maybe a hint of zest character.

Taste is very cereal forward to me, it is also light sweet like a ritz cracker; hops are present little grassy with some light citrus underneath.

Body is light; touch of sweetness, light bitterness, lingers on the palate a bit but otherwise cleans and drinkable, there is a softness to this beer.

A: Hazy golden color. Slight white head. No lacing.
S: Slight fruit smell, fresh grass, little yeasty.
T: immediate malty sweetness quickly overtaken by hoppy bitterness. The hop bitterness almost made me think sour - but no, it was the hops. Sweet and hop bitterness is really balanced nicely, distinct enough to taste them both. Sweet flavor comes back after the hop bite.
F: initial velvety sweetness up front, then crispness from the hops in back.
O: I found it on the discount shelf where unpopular beers go to die. But it’s an Allagash so I had to try it. I was not disappointed- very crisp, tasty, easy to drink beer. I’ll go back to the clearance rack for this right away.

A: crystal clear; pale gold in color; 1+ finger finely pored white head that receded to a skim cap with a moderately tight collar; OK lacing;

S: light sweet malt with a bit of hop spiciness;

T: light sweet malt with a faint undertone of bitterness - just enough to balance things out;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish; soft;

O: refreshing and easy drinking;

Of the 18 brews I've had from Allagash, all have been ales and 17 were in the Belgian tradition. So, it's nice to see an ale-maker make lagers well. Classic clarity, Smells mostly of malt. Tastes are balanced with just enough hops, though they never get pushy. Just refreshing. Cleansing also. A good lager with a lunch of pizza. Bought at Woodman's Kenosha, I should have bought more than one.
