A clear light gold color with a small white head and a bit of lace.
Not much aroma. Sweet.
Sweet taste, candied sugar.
Light-bodied, drinks well.

Very, very pale color--straw. Crystal clear. Looks like a macro except for the lumpy head that starts at three fingers. Some moderate sized spots on the glass as it is consumed.

Light smell of pale malt and candy sugar. No notable Belgian yeast aroma.

Thinner bodied with a neutral carbonation level. The Belgian yeast bite is present in flavor. The malt base is predictably weak based on the appearance and smell, but the swallow brings out aforementioned yeast and a light sweetness. I don't pick up on any bittering hop. This might be a nice beer to introduce the subtle Belgian flavors to a complete novice. Otherwise, I consider this to be a weak entry into the category.

This beer was decent, but they have better options. It's not quite a saison, and definitely not a dubbel, tripel or quad, so don't go in expecting something along those lines. It's a light pale ale, not super hoppy, but with a bit of spices. If you're in the mood for something lighter this will do, but I prefer some of their other heavier offerings more.

From Beer Drop, I get yet another 32 ounce crowler can. I'm guessing Beer Drop has some of their brewers can 32 ounces from the tap. And the ten I have tasted this year have been fresh. So, fresh is probably working well. At least, I keep coming back to Beer Drop and Colorado's brewers. (Colorado takes fourth place as my state with the most brews on BA.)

All said, Sugarfoot is a decent table saison. It is Spangalang's third most reviewed on both BA and UnTappd.

Sugarfoot Looks slightly above average, a decent foam on, perhaps, a too pale body. Rated the same, Smells are mute... which, I suppose is OK for a table ale as the food should control the aromatics. Similarly, Tastes are complete and play their role; balanced and letting the food do its thing. this is sufficiently bubbly in my mouth to cleanse my palate for another bite.

Spangalang has an interesting twist. In a reviving central Denver neighborhood that used to be a center for jazz, Spangalang opens its taproom. They seem to be doing well and have survived Covid and Denver's intense competition for brewing. But since several of their ales are Belgian-inspired, I wondered why their website had no food menus or food trucks. Something to work on.

It's a touch sweet and a little doughy with mild Belgian spice, it certainly tastes like a bigger beer but it's a very satisfying session ale. We need more of these.

Beef is a light yellow with great carbonation. Aroma is similar to that of a wit and has both fruit and spice notes. Well balances the beer is neither too sweet or two dry. Very drinkable.
