a tasty lager, the first i can recall from thee guys, but it has been a really long time since i have been in, nice to see how far these guys have come! this one is hopped up with mosaic and el dorado, and its pretty much an ipl without the bitterness, massive hop aroma and flavor though, but the underlying lager is not overwhelmed by the hops, which is the real success of this one. plenty of crackery pilsener malt and accompanying body, great carbonation and a robust dryness at the end, snappy and quick finishing from the low flavor lager yeast. new school and americanized, but very good. the mosaic lends its classic tropical fruity pineapple thing to this, while the el dorado has an herbaceousness and melon notes, mostly dry hopped i would think, as there is pretty much no bitterness at all here. not quite super refreshing with all the hops and the higher body here, but its a great beer and very easy drinking, something that i think is needed on an otherwise rather esoteric and ambitious beer list in here. i dug this one.
