I picked this up at the Bottle King in Wayne recently because I love my strong beers and I wanted to knock off something from Levante for my label collection and indeed, this easily checked both of those off as it was minimal in both of those senses. Not overtly flashy, this was a quiet beast that sneaked up on me and was not a smooth sipper, although I did enjoy it from start to finish.
This had a dark look to it as the gold was more present on the outside of the liquid. Lots of sediment floated around but that was probably because this beer wasn't exactly brewed yesterday. Enough head topped it off although the lacing left behind was near nonexistent outside of a thick ring near the top of my pint glass. Tons of booze and sweetness in the nose as this was equally malty and hoppy. Apricot and mango dominated here with some peach and grape underneath that as the taste was quite hefty and potent with plenty of stickiness, rind, and stone fruit to back up the aroma. A bit of dank citrus and orange blossom emerged as this warmed up and lingered in the aftertaste but overall, this was a lightly-carbonated beer with plenty of resin that stuck around.
Indeed, this *was* strong as it felt every bit the 10.1% ABV as this didn't hold back in any way, shape, or form. Dated 1/20 with "DEATH FROM ABOVE" written above it, I wish this was fresh although I still enjoyed this 10 month-old can down to the last drop. This beer easily put the Imperial into IPA as I'd easily reach for it again - on a cool night such as this...

Having spent 3 years in Belgium i can appreciate the Triple IPA. The Trappists have mastered the art of beer making with basic ingredients. Levante does a nice Trappist impersonation. You don’t get mouthfeel in a Belgian beer but that comes with the territory. This is a declicious beer that should be consumed at an appropriate pace...not too fast, not too slow. Trappist fans should enjoy this beer.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high dense white head that died down, leaving a small patch of bubbles on the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit, mangos, and stone fruit are present in the nose along with hints of alcohol.
T: The taste has flavors of mangos and stone fruit along with hints of apricots. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is remarkable drinkable for a Triple New England IPA as the only hints of alcohol you get are from the smell.
Serving type: can

16oz can served in a large snifter. Dated 1/15/20. Gift from @mr-jj.
Pours fairly hazy with a big head. Lots of carbonation. Golden-bronze. Very pretty. Smell is hop resin, flowers, and maybe some grass.
Taste is interesting. Only mildly boozy (dangerous at 10.1%). Maybe some melon. Hop resin, flowers, and something else sweet -- almost a honey flavor?
Mouthfeel is both rich and resinous. Overall, pretty darn nice beer.

16 oz can from Tavour. Orange golden body with thick fluffy head., streaky lacing. Citrusy aroma, orange peel, malts. Thick substantial body, sweet notes, malts, muted fruit(not mutfruit!) flavors. Full and not that boozy.

I expected a good beer, but this was unexpectedly great.
Aromatics and flavors of pine, orange, pineapple, tropical fruits.
No trace of the high ABV in the scent or taste. Super smooth, medium to heavy body.
There's an oily, resiny character to this brew and even after the last drop is consumed, strong scents of pine and tropical citrus waft from the empty glass.
