A- Pours a nice clear golden color with little head from the get go, and the little that's there quickly dissipates.

S- Beautiful aromas of acidic, sour stone fruit and crazy complex funk right off the bat! Lot's of plum, white wine grapes, oaky tannins, horse blanket, hay, leather, and other barnyard funk aromas. Alluring and complex!

T- The flavor really shines with tons of fruit up front, plums, apricots, peaches, etc! There is a very assertive sourness, and it is quite acidic, but this is balanced out superbly with incredibly complex funk. You can tell there is not only Brett and Lacto used in this, but lots of different critters fermented the wort into a mind bending complexity! The chardonnay barrels this was fermented and aged in lend a lot of white wine grape and oak to the flavor. It also has a sweet malt backbone that helps balance the intense sour. Just delightful to sip and ponder!

M- The mouth feel is medium, but a bit bigger feeling than many other sours. There is a nice light carbonation, but I'd like a little bit more.

O- This beer is by far the best thing to come out of Demented to date (though Wrath and Orcus were hints at this breakout performance!), and it makes me excited for what the future holds! I can't say I was surprised though as I've had 3 home-brewed sours from their now head brewer before they hired him, and they were all at least as good as this one! Needless to say Demented is looking like a brewery you don't want to miss in the future, especially their sour releases!

L: Crystal clear golden liquid with no head. Visually it could pass for whisky.
S: Cidery
T: Cidery and complex. Moderately dry upfront, mild soreness, with a little sweetness in the finish. Mild spiciness.
F: Slightly viscous. Smooth.
O: I liked it. It is different than any other sour I've had. Definite wild fermented flavor, but far milder than expected.

22 oz bottle poured into a Demented snifter glass. Wax sealed and stored cold since release.

Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a finger of foam that fizzles away very quickly. Aroma is full of tart funk. This is definately a sour. First sip is a huge rush of bitter sour cherry tartness. There is a lingering white whine flavor as well. This beer really smacks you in the face with funk, but it works once your palate adjusts to the initial shock. Finishes very dry and refreshing.

This is a really nice sour, that stands toe to toe with any of the bigger names out there. Grab a bottle if you are able! Glad I purchased 2 when I was at the brewery.

Pours a somewhat hazy bright yellow color with low carbonation evident and little head. Super tart and sour; tons of vinegar, white wine, and mouther-puckeringly sour fruits, oak, funk. Very acedic. Medium body and low carbonation.

Overall I liked this a lot; IMO it is their best beer so far BY FAR, It reminds me of a lot of The Bruery sour beers that start with that sour blonde base. Glad I grabbed a couple bottles of this one.
