The milkshake IPAs I've tried previously tend to be overly sweet, but this one is not. Amazing balance of sweet strawberries, tart kiwi, and hop bitterness. The creamy mouthful is heaven. Truly an outstanding release. I'll buy this brew every time Hop Butcher puts this one out.

It’s not the prettiest beer but it smells and tastes amazing. It’s sweet but not overpowering like a lot of milkshake IPAs. I love the hint of kiwi lime that I get too. It gives just a bit of tartness to it.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on December 13, 2018. Citra and Strata hopped milkshake double IPA brewed with kiwi, strawberry, lime and vanilla. At the right temperature, all the flavors compliment each other nicely.

Had on tap. The milkshake ipa is really letting brewers play with some fun combinations of flavor, and this is a good example. The hops are in the background matrix of the beer with vanilla, kiwi, and yeast, while the strawberry and lime can star without clashing with the hop bitterness. Not complex or going to win any awards, but fun, and beer should be fun! Creamy mouthfeel, cool and medium body, and sneaky thick.
