Canned 8/2/22
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (less than 5% clarity), light, pale, but bright yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 5-6. (4.50)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of grapefruit citrus, peach, papaya, and lots pineapple sap. (4.00)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of lime and grapefruit citrus and pineapple sap. Some green melon within. Mostly vague citrus and tropical pineapple flavors. Sappy with hints of pine, but ultimately finishes milky, smooth, mildly sweet. (4.25)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. a soft, smooth body. Very drinkable and clean. (4.25)
Compared to TG/OH 18 Hours from Brooklyn 9/8/22: Pours a lighter, hazier appearance. Stronger head. Milder aromas and flavors. More pineapple sap. Less green citrus. white grape, lychee, pineapple rind.
Compared to Drekker Brace For the G's 10/12/22: Pours darker. More green fruit, milky pineapple, green melon. Less citrus rind, Asian fruit, pine. Less pine bitterness. Much softer, smoother.
Compared to Hop Butcher The Jewels 11/5/2022: Pours a slightly lighter color, with milder aromas. More milky pineapple and green tropical fruit. Less lemon/lime citrus and rind. Smoother with more of a grain malt body and less of a bite. Winner is hard to call
Compared to Hop Butcher Green Moss 1/2023: Pours slightly lighter, smaller head. Milder aromas. More green melon, and sweet tropical notes. Less citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and pine. Resinous and slightly more earthy.
Overall: A pretty decent offering from Hop Butcher. Smooth and soft with the green melon. Nice pineapple sap, melon, papaya flavors. The flavors aren't overpowering here and are actually quite muted. Yet they keep up with maintaining their characteristically soft and smooth body. Incredibly drinkable. Nice stuff and on par for Hop Butcher. (Rating: 4.21)

poured from a 16oz can into a willi becher pint glass. a fairly aggressive pour yields a creamy, hazy orange with almost three fingers of fluffy white foam. peach, citrusy orange and pine sap on the nose. taste follows but with more of an orange marmalade flavor backed with subtle pine and a decent bitter finish. full mouthfeel that is smooth and makes this drink easier than it’s 7.5% ABV should allow. another well done DIPA from these guys. this one was an interesting hop combination. maybe not my favorite but it’s still really tasty.

Canned 8/2/22; drank 8/14/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice off-white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Pineapple, cream & fresh cut grass notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Dry pineapple & grass flavors.
This smelled better than it tasted; decent enough.

Pours a completely opaque, matte orange-tinged yellow color. Thick, frothy white head orms on the beer, lingers for a moment then dissipates leaving a small hill of foam on the top of the beer. Aroma hs notes of orange, melon, tropical fruits and some light woody notes. You can smell the waimea coming through on the nose.
Taste follows the nose somewhat - the melon come through more on the flavor profile with this creamy orange creamsicle note. Bitter, woody hops come though on the back end cutting that creamy sweetness. The bitterness builds on itself becoming progressively more noticeable as the beer is consumed. Feel is full bodied, hefty, smooth. Moderate carbonation.
Overall this is a typical Hop Butcher NEIPA - tasty, well done, but hard to distinguish from any others. It really comes down to whatever hop combo ends up being your favorite.
