Barrel Blend: 100% Barrel IX
Description: This beer was made using our coolship and aged for close to a year in a single red wine barrel. Montmorency Cherries were added to the barrel for a second fermentation. Finally the beer was bottle conditioned using the spontaneous microbes (we don't use bottling strains). Ramjet will age and develop in the bottle for years if treated properly.
Deep red with clingy, bright white head. Big tart cherry aroma mixed with lactic tartness. Flavor is complex and balanced. Mild tart cherry acidity and lactic acid mingle with doughy-malt flavor and a dose of traditional Brettanomyces "funk".

big thanks to my buddy robbie for opening this and sharing despite my objections. I said he could open it if it was a 90+ on BA or had zero reviews. lucky for him, fans of this brewery ain't got time to tick it proper so zero reviews wins. I love/hate the pressure of being the only words a beer has. all trades hinge on my conjecture...how ironic?
so robbie opened the bottle, set it on the table...and she began to gush. Robbie was too busy taking glamour selfies from Facebook to notice so I grabbed the bottle and ran it to the slop sink to perculate....after all, this is my rug and my wife will kick my ass if it smells like infected beer garbage from robbie. but this came from robbie's beer wife so gotta be good, right?
all that aside, yeah it IS good. quite so. great bhere flavor in a balanced body. like a young kreik. that said, dint go crazy hunting but no you get this as an extra, someone likes you. see robbie...she likes you...she really does. and can yu blame her? so handsome you are...despite she knew you have a twin?
