I'll go on record as saying this smelled, drank and tasted like an IPA to me. I wasn't getting any wild characteristics. But the beer was so damn good, I didn't care.
The aroma is all that you want from mosaic. Pineapple, mango, papaya, passionfruit, just pick you favorite tropical fruit and it was showing some of its flare here.
Taste followed entirely. It was simply a juicy, tropical IPA and I was happy to drink multiple pours.
The light feel and creamy, rich mouthfeel made it too easy to drink several pours. It was refreshing and juicy and had some of that pulpy mouthfeel of the east coast IPAs.
Very good, wild or not.
