a really beautiful beer from these guys, this one on second use raspberries, which seems like a popular thing these days, lots of wild ale makers using their fruit multiple times, but this is so cool because it has more raspberry character to it than a lot of brewers get out of the first use! a gorgeous rose pink softly hazy in the glass with a bubbling white head on it and strong aromas of red wine vinegar, hibiscus, and tangy ripe raspberries, which dont seem tired to used up to me at all. a great mature funk too, bretty and wild and dry for being fruited, super well refined but still bold for what it is. great flavor here too, all of the raspberry but not jammy or anything, sort of delicate and tart, ripe and summery and really natural. i have not had any of the first use fruited lambic types these guys do, but they have to be incredible if this is what we get out of already used fruit! i get some red wine fruitiness too, cherry and blackberry and currant, tannic a little bit but still really clean in the finish, a now familiar wild yeast complexion fermenting it down to near dry. brilliant stuff, these guys are killing it of late! its been months since i have had anything in here that was anything less than stellar!
