a tasty new one from these guys, better than most of the other recent releases i have had. this is a wild ale with peaches, culinary herbs, and sea salt. the rosemary and sage are cool additions, and go really well with both the bright acidity of the base beer and the sweet, dripping ripe peaches that are here. the peach isnt over the top, in fact its nicely restrained in terms of leaving plenty of room for the nuances of the base beer, which are minimally malty, but lightly sweet, tart but not caustic, and with a rather mature funkiness to it. the salt dries the beer out fast in the taste and makes room for the peach nectar and the herbs at the end. for me more rosemary than sage in the flavor, but both are there in just the right proportion, and it makes this wildly interesting. rarely do we see fruit and herbs like this together, but it works brilliantly. still quite sour, i cant drink a ton of this, all the black project stuff has been moving this way lately, but there is enough going on here to keep me engaged for quite awhile. a really cool recipe and very well executed, giving this now familiar base beer a needed new life. this is really really good!
