SUPERCRUISE starts with wine grapes from locally-sourced, family-owned vineyards in Palisade, CO. Once the grapes have been destemmed and crushed, we allow the juice to rest for a few days - developing rich color and depth of flavor - before finally transferring the juice to neutral oak barrels along with our base Golden Sour. The beer then goes through a secondary fermentation while resting on the grapes, and after a few weeks is ready to bottle. Fruited at about half of what we do for Mach-Limit, the stonefruit character from the base beer is backed by bright fruit and soft tannins, yet the beer still shines through.

Best beer I have had from black project today. The grape sweetness and ripe skin of the grape are really impactful on the funk, oak and the supporting sour fruits. Sweet, sour, musky, funky, nice balance between all of the core elements of the beer and has complex depth.

these supercruise beers continue to be some of the best from black project, this grape blend is killer, nice frosted soft purple color from the tap and a nice head on it, active and not as thick and sense and rugged as a lot of them have been looking lately, a prettier beer than i am used to here. the grapes are cool in a number of ways, for one, the tannins and tang and sweet from them just seem to work really well with their house wild flavors, balancing and complimenting the acidity at the same time, and seemingly harboring more of the funk than the sourness, a more drinkable beer for sure. i also think the complexity is awesome, they give it a very winey character, as much as its grapey, its more like wine than whole fruit, and that is so nice with the funkiness here. the higher abv gives it a sort of regal and fancy character and feel, while the dry finish and high carbonation keep it moving. this malbec merlot edition is cool, deep red grape here, blackberry and plum elements to it, deep and intense, a very cool depth to this. overall i think i like some of the single grape editions a little more, but this is mighty good!
edit: just as good but not much different from the bottle. this one seems somewhat less sour than other blends, probably suitable for extended ageing, although i have not necessarily found that to be true with the others, this seems built to last. better carbonation than others as well.
