this shadow factory series is pretty cool, so much fruit in a lot of these, and this one, all blueberry, looks like an exploded permanent marker or something, dense maxed out purple color to it from the tap, cloudy and thick looking from all the fruit, nice lavender colored head on it, man, looks more juice than beer, and smells that way too, save for a pretty acidic wash of lactic pucker, almost more berliner type than wild beer here, no funk at all in the nose, and that off clean acidity that is more and more prevalent in black project beers as time goes by. if you like blueberries, you will like this beer, i even get the little seeds, along with the tart skins and the jammy grapey flesh, its a nice expression of the fruit, but its not overly beer, no yeast character for me, no wood, very little grain taste either, its just acid and fruit, and seems a bit basic, i want more flavor depth, not more fruit in my face, although its hard to say this isnt tasty, it just doesnt really taste like beer. cool use of the blueberries, but it needs something, more developed brett, a rich red or port wine barrel, something...

L:. Pours a muddy bergundy purple color, with a small purple fizzy head and no lacing.
S:. Blueberry is very upfront with a bit of tartness and sourness underneath, quite one dimensional.
T:. Slightly tart slightly sweet blueberry, a note of Belgian yeast spiciness, but very blueberry. Still quite one dimensional, quite juicy.
F:. Medium body and carbonation.
O:. Lots of blueberry, I find this beer to be quite one dimensional for a sour.
