DDH with Cascade, Citra, and Simcoe
Our flagship hazy, golden American Pale Ale brewed with copious amounts of Cascade, Citra and Simcoe hops over a body of pilsner and oat malts. It’s light base is the perfect backbone to effervescent and bright hop aromas of mango, pineapple and evergreen.

Murky, yellow color. Big, white head. Tropical fruits, malt, and some bread in the aroma. Moderate bitterness in taste. Well balanced. a decent pale ale, heavily influenced by NE IPAs.

16oz can.
L: Cloudy orange colour with one finger of foaming, off-white head.
S: Mandarin and orange.
T: Follows the nose, with the addition of orange zest and some dank, earthy funk in the background.
F: Medium body, sticky mouthfeel and an almost dry finish.
O: A citrus and tropical fruit APA with an unexpected edgy side. The nicely balanced farmhouse funk adds interest.

just not my type of IPA, a little slanted to floral that is too much for me. This one came highly recommended at beer store...to me just an avgerage brew.

This beer was recommended to me by my son who lives near the brewery in Sunnyside, Queens. Has a hazy golden color on the pour, with white foamy head and lots of lace. Aroma is a wonderful blend of citrus pulp, rind and pine. Flavor palette follows the aroma -- it's fruity, dry, hoppy, slightly bitter and sweet. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and finish is crisp. Reminds me of NEIPA but is smoother and not as boozy at 5.5 ABV. Overall, this is an excellent, well-crafted beer that I will definitely be buying again.

Moderately cloudy amber brew with abundant foam in the St. Bernardus globe. The mouthfeel is full of slushy suds and is quite appealing. Aroma of hay and a hint of passion fruit. Just enough malty sweetness. Flavors of bread with citrus and pineapply notes. A whisper of onion, if that's possible.
Just a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste with a bit of lingering orange peel. This is really quite pleasant considering the hazy concept. Very drinkable with neither the acidity or gunkiness you might expect. From the 16oz can shipped from City Beer Store. Not dated.

Served in tulip on tapat Federal tap house in Harrisburg
Color is amber with pale white head with fine bead lace sticks
Smell is great with tropical hops with citrus and light pineapple and grapefruit
The feel is great...bright with moderately bitter and carbonation moderate and malt sweetness low with dry finish
This pale is tasty yet drinkable with tropical taste from citrus in hop profile yet quaffable with light feeling with subtle bitterness balanced by malt
A very tasty west coast style pale

I finally have met an APA that is the brother of the NEIPA. (I knew this would happen some day, given American crafters propensity to hybridize the faves of the previous generation.)
Coded Tiles has some affinity to the APA... But not its Looks. APAs usually have a clear quality. Coded Tiles seems to use APA bitter hops in similar quantities, but has the NEIPA tropicals going on also. Tastes also innovate this hybrid; fruit balanced by bitter. In my mouth, quite refreshing; yet doesn't intrude with too many bubbles. Full and finishes balanced.
Overall, I suppose I like these guys... but less than the average. The can was not decipherable, so I am glad BA transcribed. Their top 7 rated beers are all IPAs indicating they stick to their knitting, but not much else. If I have another of their beers, I will stick to my knitting and have their saison.
I did go on LIC's website, but not for long. Entirely too minimalist. For being around for 4 years and having a very fancy taproom, they should take their on-line marketing more seriously. But then, where is the competition? There seems to be very few brewers in Queens relative to the 2 million people that live there. Perhaps there is less need for entertainment since some of the world's best is a mere subway ride away.

Poured it from the can into a pint glass. Really needs a 20 oz. tulip.
The initial aroma reminds of pineapple and lime. The head is tall, but light, subsiding quickly. The initial flavor combines tartness with malt. It comes across more like a sour than a pale ale - very refreshing. Great after exercise.
