When I did a month stretch at the McLean Center in Belmont, MA, I became friendly with Sahar, one of the grad students working there. At the morning round table, every time we were assigned a counselor to work with, I always hoped that I’d get her. When I did, all we would do is take walks around campus and we’d chat along the way. It was tough, because I was in a place that I didn’t want to be. Still, walking and talking with her was just a tiny glisten in what was a cloudy time while there. Years since, I still think of her from time to time, and I know that I’ll never forget her. I’ll forget this beer though.

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the goblet. Pleasant aroma of citrus with grapefruit juice. Medium body and lively on the tongue, but then thickish mouthfeel. Flavor is mostly grapefruit peel. This just seems over-hopped to me. Decent flavors, though, but so intense and so bitter. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing. Dated 04/02/2025.

 

 

 

super strong whiff of simcoe and mosaic. not special, as the other guy said, but drinkable...

 

very west coast in style, which i love, great drinkable IPA, just doesn’t seem real special though.
