Far from my favorite. Estery/caramel aroma with some staleness. Taste is similar. Feel is a little undercarbonated for me. Overall, I wouldn't have this again. Maybe it's just the style though.

Excellent beer from a extraordinary Brewery. What more can you ask for in a strong ale? Smoothness with a flavor that MBC can only do. We need more good beer like this in our lives!

This beer is Damn good. It doesn't barrel you over the head with the nose and taste like it seems today's Beer Advocate demands, but everything is in its place as it should be, and no flavor overwhelms the others. This one is about harmony. Nothing overly complex, just excecuted near perfectly for everything going on here. Not a overly hopped Strong Ale, and thank you Mammoth for it!
Best way to describe this is an Imperial Nutty Brown Ale swimming in dark fruits with some mild coffee flavors presenting itself here & there. For those familiar with Double Nut Brown, this is in a sense a Imperial version, heavier on the Brown than the Porter. Super clean beer and super clean mouthfeel. Sticky big nutty brown ale forward and dark fruit flavors linger after each sip just enough without at all being too sweet or anywhere near cloying. This is a well balanced and masterfully crafted Strong Ale that hits on all flavors and notes, while dare I say almost "sessionable" without a light mouthfeel to boot for the style & ABV! Well, maybe not quite sessionable, but damn this one is clean and easy drinking while lending big flavor. Dangerous beer. Absolutely no alcohol detected.
I'm sad I only have one more. Recommended.
