Very dark, many complex flavors, pretty thick. Different, but I think this beer really worked. Mammoth Lakes, CA. June 2018

Recently went to Coin Haus to knock out my $25 Group On. Went with this for No. 4. Was labeled online as “MBC's award winning double nut brown was aged 2.5 long years in Cabernet Franc Hungarian Oak Barrels from Niner Winery named after the Roman god of agriculture, wine and fertility. The flavors fuse together to create a complex profile of dark cherries, black berries, and a nice round tannin finish. We suggest enjoying this elegant beer with a rich gamey meat such as venison, lamb, or duck. This DNB is infused with low carbonation to accentuate all the polished Cab Franc characteristics. Enjoy our marriage of two different worlds on draft or buy a bottle to age in your cellar for that one special occasion!”
Poured a dark brown color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki white frothy head. No noticeable bubbles. Outstanding lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Wow. Smelled cinnamon, bark, dark cherry, nutmeg, wintry spice, oak, anise, mulling spices and black pepper. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted not quite as good as the nose, but still really good. Smoky oak, bark, dark cherry, mulling spices, cinnamon, black pepper, anise, dark berries and coffee. (Taste - 4.00)
Full body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth spicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Really liked this beer. Can’t wait to have this again. (Overall - 4.25)
